Information Processing/Working with others/Communication/being personally effective
Ususlly when teaching a topic that has a list of properties that have to be remembered I show the table to the students and get them to write it into their copy and learn it for homework and possibly answer questions on it. Yesterday in science I wrote on the board a list of properites of solids/liquids and gases all jumbled up and asked the students to fit the info into 3 groups (solid/liquid/gas). The students were working in groups of 3 and had a large sheet of paper on the desk in front of them. They used the information to create a poster and any group that had the correct answer had their poster put up in the classroom. (They thought it was great that they mamaged to come up with a table identical to one in the book, without first having seen the table!!)
